Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Launch Digital Linkage for Marriage Contract Authentication.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish an electronic and digital linkage between the two entities. This initiative enables the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to directly authenticate marriage contracts issued by the Judicial Department through the department’s website and smart application. The step comes as part of ongoing efforts to simplify procedures and provide integrated digital services that support the objectives of the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program.
Under the new system, customers can complete the authentication of marriage contracts entirely online and instantly obtain an approved, electronically certified copy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The certified copy is valid for use both within and outside the country, saving time and effort while enhancing service efficiency and reliability.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment to advancing government digital transformation and developing innovative judicial services, in line with the leadership’s vision to provide flexible, efficient services that strengthen Abu Dhabi’s global competitiveness.
It also marks a significant step toward accelerating and streamlining processes, delivering proactive, customer-centric services within an integrated government ecosystem that leverages the latest digital technologies.
The signing of the MoU embodies the spirit of cooperation and integration among government entities, aligning with the strategic vision to develop advanced, human-centered digital services. The initiative will also pave the way for future expansion of the electronic linkage to include the authentication of all documents issued by the Judicial Department, further improving service quality and enhancing overall quality of life.
